Peel, cut and salt the plantains

Peel the plantains and cut them into fairly thin slices. Add salt to it.

In a frying pan, pot or fryer, heat peanut oil (you can also use palm or sunflower oil). Once the oil is boiling, dip your banana slices in it, without burning yourself!
Fry your plantain slices for about 3 minutes on each side if pan-frying them. If your bananas are completely submerged in a deep fryer, 3 minutes of cooking will suffice.

And here is the job! Your Ivorian allocos are now nicely browned and ready to eat. I advise you to drain them or wipe them with a paper towel to remove excess oil. This will make your alloco more digestible and healthier!
Serve your homemade alloco hot with braised meat or fish.
