Banana Fufu is a ball of dough made of plantains and crushed cassava. It is the ideal accompaniment to the famous seed sauce or peanut sauce.

Steps
1 Done | Cut the Bananas and the CassavaPeel your cassava root and 4 plantains. Cut the cassava into small cubes and cut the plantains into three equal pieces. |
2 Done | In a pot, or large saucepan, bring water to a boil and then add the bananas and cassava pieces with a little salt. Cook over medium heat for 20 to 25 minutes until the cassava is tender. |
3 Done | Remove the cassava and bananas from the water. Use a mortar to mash the cassava until it forms a smooth paste. Then add the bananas a little at a time, continuing to mash until you have a smooth paste. |
4 Done | Add cassava flour (optional)I personally like to add cassava flour to my Banana Foutou! To do this, transfer your mashed cassava and bananas into a bowl and add a little flour according to the consistency of Foutou you want (up to 150g). |
5 Done | Shape your FoutouUsing your hands or a small bowl, shape your banana fufu dough into balls and place them in a serving dish. |
6 Done | Your Fufuu Banane is ready to be devoured!Serve your delicious Banana Fufu while still warm with a soup or sauce such as okra sauce for example. Enjoy your meal! |
